NEVILLE PROTECTIVE COATINGS LLC

In 1976, Fred Neville started a family-owned corporation that specialized in the application of troweled
immersion service linings and industrial flooring suitable for a multitude of Industries with a strong
emphasis on the pulp and paper industry.
During the 1980s and 1990s, The Neville team performed many of their applications on the paper
machines of different paper mills throughout the country with exceptional success in the stock
chests, whitewater tanks, couch pits, wire pits, and other assorted vessels supporting the papermaking
process.
In the early 2000s, Chris Neville took over the business from his father and today continues the
success, strong reputation, and longevity of the Neville name. Chris, along with his team of
accomplished, skilled craftsmen have forged a team that has successfully delivered positive results not
only in the areas that Fred Neville had specialized in, but have now evolved into successful bleach
plant linings associated with kraft mill challenges.
For the last 15 years, Neville has installed troweled vinyl ester and epoxy linings in all of the stages of
bleaching pulp, covering D stage towers, upflows, washer vats, and seal boxes along with the E stage
process as well. The 15 years of case histories have for many mills been a welcomed transition from the
days of brick/tile replacement and/or repair. The Neville team can proudly say that over 750,000 sq ft
of the troweled linings have been installed over these last 20 years with sustainable, positive results. Not
only have the linings been extremely successful, but the paper mills have also saved significant money over the course of time due to the elimination of brick replacement. In several different paper mills, the Neville linings support the entire kraft mill. Neville has also applied the linings in CLO2 storage tanks at various mills with tremendous
results in place of brick.
The case histories of Neville linings should merit serious consideration for any paper mill or chemical plant that experiences consistent repairs and or replacements of existing brick and tile. With Chris Neville’s 45 years of experience and a strong team of skilled employees, Neville is positioned to be a preferred applicator in any paper mill or chemical plant.
